1. Who we are
Omniveralis (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates omniveralis.com, an Australian-focused information directory about casino interiors and fit-out solutions. Omniveralis is not a gambling operator and does not offer accounts, deposits, wagering or gambling products.
Privacy enquiries may be sent to privacy@omniveralis.com. If you need this policy in another accessible form, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to assist.
2. Scope and governing framework
This policy applies to personal information handled through this website, direct email and related editorial or supplier communications. It is designed with reference to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) where they apply. The APP framework covers collection, use, disclosure, governance, security, access and correction. You may read the current APP guidance on the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner website.
This policy does not govern independent websites linked from our content. Those operators control their own privacy practices.
3. What information we collect and hold
Information you provide
- name, email address, organisation and role;
- the contents of enquiries, correction requests, complaints and supporting documents;
- supplier capability and business information submitted for editorial consideration;
- your correspondence history and our response;
- any privacy request details reasonably needed to locate or verify relevant information.
Please do not submit sensitive information, government identifiers, payment details, gaming-account information or identity documents through a general email. We do not intentionally request health, biometric, racial or ethnic, political, religious, sexual-orientation or criminal-record information.
Technical information
When you access the site, hosting and security systems may process IP address, date and time, requested page, referring URL, browser, device or operating-system information, response code and similar server-log data. Essential browser storage may hold the keys omni_age_verified for the current session and omni_cookie_choice until cleared. See the Cookie Policy.
Information we do not collect through this site
There are no user accounts, wagering records, deposit facilities, payment forms, loyalty profiles or gambling-behaviour tracking. Optional web analytics are not currently deployed. If that changes, we will update this policy and honour the consent control described in our Cookie Policy.
4. How we collect and hold information
We generally collect personal information directly when you email us or submit an enquiry. We may receive professional information from a colleague who refers you, a business that authorises a submission, or public sources when assessing directory information. If we receive unsolicited personal information that we do not need, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it where lawful and practicable.
Information may be held in access-controlled email, document storage, backups and website or security logs operated by us or contracted service providers. We aim to separate public supplier facts from private correspondence and restrict administrative access to people who require it.
5. Why we collect, use and disclose information
- to respond to enquiries, access requests, complaints and correction notices;
- to research, verify, edit and maintain directory content;
- to assess supplier submissions and communicate editorial decisions;
- to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website;
- to establish, exercise or defend legal claims and comply with lawful requirements;
- to prevent fraud, misuse, cyber incidents and threats to people or systems;
- for another purpose disclosed at collection or with consent.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use sensitive information for direct marketing. We will not send commercial electronic messages without an appropriate basis and a functional opt-out where required.
6. Who may receive information
We may disclose the minimum necessary information to hosting, email, IT security, backup and professional advisers supporting the site; to contractors who are subject to suitable confidentiality obligations; to authorities where required or authorised by law; or to a successor in a genuine business reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards. A supplier submission may be published only after editorial assessment; contact details clearly intended for publication may become public.
We may disclose de-identified or aggregated information where it is no longer reasonably identifiable. Publicly available business information is not automatically outside privacy law, so we still consider context and purpose.
7. Overseas processing and disclosure
Internet infrastructure and common cloud, email or security services may store or process information outside Australia. The actual countries depend on the service providers configured by the website operator at the relevant time. Before using a provider that involves likely overseas disclosure, we will assess the arrangement and, where practicable, identify relevant countries in this policy or a collection notice. Contact us for current information about providers relevant to your request.
Where APP 8 applies, we take reasonable steps in the circumstances before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, subject to statutory exceptions. Transmission over the internet can still cross multiple jurisdictions.
8. Security, data quality and retention
We use measures appropriate to the nature of the information, which may include access restriction, secure connections, software maintenance, backups, logging and service-provider review. No online method is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe information has been compromised, contact us promptly.
We take reasonable steps to keep information accurate, current and complete for its intended use. We retain enquiry records only as long as reasonably needed for response, editorial accountability, security, dispute management and legal obligations. Server-log retention depends on operational and security needs. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it, subject to backups and lawful retention.
9. Anonymity, access and correction
You may browse without identifying yourself. You may use a pseudonym for a general enquiry where practicable, although we may need identity or authority to process an access request, resolve a rights dispute or verify a supplier submission.
To request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you, email privacy@omniveralis.com with enough detail to identify the records. We may ask for proportionate verification through a secure channel. We will respond within a reasonable period. If an applicable exception permits refusal, we will generally explain the reason and available complaint mechanism. We do not ordinarily charge to make a request; any lawful access charge will be discussed first.
10. Privacy complaints
Email the Privacy Contact with “Privacy complaint” in the subject and describe what happened, relevant dates, the information involved and the outcome sought. We will acknowledge the complaint, investigate fairly, seek further information if necessary and provide a response within a reasonable period. Complex matters may take longer; we will communicate material delay.
If you are dissatisfied, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The OAIC generally expects a person to complain to the organisation first and allow time for a response.
11. Children, changes and contact
The site is intended for people aged 18 and over because it discusses casino premises. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has contacted us should notify the Privacy Contact.
We may update this policy when practices, providers or law change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be signposted where reasonable and will not be applied retrospectively in a manner inconsistent with law.
